YIP Annual Blood Drive: HELP SAVE LIVES! The Young Israel of Plainview will be holding a drive for Blood Donations and Gift of Life Bone Marrow Registry at 132 Southern Parkway, on Sunday, August 15th, starting at 8:00 AM.
Blood supplies are very low and donations are desperately needed. Please schedule a blood donation appointment online at
nybc.org/donate or by contacting Sharon Albert (phone or text) to 516-659-4173. Due to Covid restrictions, appointments are required.
We are also swabbing for the Gift of Life Bone Marrow Registry, trying to find a match within the Jewish community. No appointment needed; just walk in. Ideal age to be a bone marrow donor is 18-35. However, anyone age 18-60 can join the registry. For more information, or to request a kit by mail, please go to
