YIP is open for normal indoor services.
​​​​​​​Based on CDC guidance and the advice of our Health Advisory Committee, masks are required for everyone (vaccinated and not) indoors. The situation is fluid and we will continue to communicate policy changes as needed.

Mercaz Academy Update
We are pleased to share with you that Mercaz Academy has publicly announced its logo. Inspired by Marc Chagall’s stained-glass windows in Jerusalem, the Mercaz Academy logo represents the intersection of modern and ancient Judaism embodied in an Orthodox elementary school. The logo is the creation of Max Kahn, a graphic designer who grew up in Plainview and attended Mercaz’s predecessor.  Max is the oldest son of our YIP members, Jodi and Sammy Kahn.

Food Pantry
The Mid-Island Y JCC Is proud to announce Project Replenish. With support from the local Jewish community, we are helping to alleviate hunger insecurity among our neighbors. The Jewish Communal Fund Food Pantry at the Mid-Island Y JCC provides seniors, individuals and families with essential food, toiletry and household items. Donations will benefit the Mid-Island Y JCC’s Jewish Communal Fund Food Pantry & The Hatzilu Rescue Organization.  The donation bin is located in the coatroom. No glass or expired food, please.​​​

Each month our meshebayrach list is purged and rebuilt from scratch.

Eiruv Matzahs
The eiruv matzahs can be found under the Aron Kodesh in the Beis Midrash.
 
If you want an announcement included in the weekly e-mail, you must send it, in an editable format (no pdf's) to announcements@yiplainview.org ​​​​​​​no later than the Tuesday prior to the Shabbat on which you want the announcement to appear.
​​​​​​​Community announcements will not ordinarily be made on Shabbat morning, but will be included in this e-mail.
