YIP is open for normal indoor services.
​​​​​​​Based on CDC guidance and the advice of our Health Advisory Committee, masks are required for everyone (vaccinated and not) indoors. The situation is fluid and we will continue to communicate policy changes as needed.

Mikveh
Mikveh use is by appointment only
Saturday 9:30pm - 11:00pm
Sun - Thurs. 8:30pm - 10:00pm (new time as of 8/22) 

Please call Janet (516.978.3464) for weeknight appointments. For Friday night and Yom Tov appointments, please call or text Rochelle (516.456.1347). 

The Mikveh will be open for men on Erev Rosh Hashana from 6:00 AM - 11:30 AM. Due to COVID, only vaccinated men are eligible to sign up for an appointment, and reservations are required in advance. Spots are limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. No walk-ins allowed. Please arrive on time, as latecomers may not be able to be accommodated.  Click here to make an appointment. Please bring your own towel.

Food Pantry
The Mid-Island Y JCC Is proud to announce Project Replenish. With support from the local Jewish community, we are helping to alleviate hunger insecurity among our neighbors. The Jewish Communal Fund Food Pantry at the Mid-Island Y JCC provides seniors, individuals and families with essential food, toiletry and household items. Donations will benefit the Mid-Island Y JCC’s Jewish Communal Fund Food Pantry & The Hatzilu Rescue Organization.  The donation bin is located in the coatroom. No glass or expired food, please.​​​

Each month our meshebayrach list is purged and rebuilt from scratch.
Please let Aaron Chaitovsky know of any names for the list.

Eiruv Matzahs
The eiruv matzahs can be found under the Aron Kodesh in the Beis Midrash.
 
If you want an announcement included in the weekly e-mail, you must send it, in an editable format (no pdf's) to announcements@yiplainview.org ​​​​​​​no later than the Tuesday prior to the Shabbat on which you want the announcement to appear.
​​​​​​​Community announcements will not ordinarily be made on Shabbat morning, but will be included in this e-mail.
