Infertility Awareness Shabbat: Please join us at the 4th Annual Yesh Tikvah Infertility Awareness Shabbat on April 6th in the afternoon, as we hear YIP former Rabbinic Intern Rabbi Willie and Estee Balk present their story of fertility at 5:15 pm. Refreshments will be served. Simultaneous youth program.

Deadline: Donation Drives: Sunday, March 24 - Sunday, April 7. Two simultaneous Donation Drives. Island Harvest - please place canned and packaged food items in a paper bag or box for easier transport. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island - accepting small household items such as appliances and kitchenware, and clothing. No furniture. Glassware needs to be wrapped in a box and labeled "fragile". All items should be put into black garbage bags. Donation boxes will be located in the coat room. - Sunday, April 7

Yom Hashoah programs at the Mid-Island Y JCC (co-sponsored by YIP): Youth Program: (4pm) Building Blocks Workshops - Using LEGO blocks, Stephen Schwartz, an architect, will assist children to build a replica of the Warsaw Ghetto and then “walk” participants through it as he shares stories about the Warsaw Ghetto, especially talking about people such as Emanuel Ringelblum, Mordechai Anielewicz and Janusz Korczak. PARENTS ARE WELCOME AS WELL!!
Main Program: (7:30pm) A presentation by Vincent Marmorale, President of Italy and the Holocaust Foundation, and Walter Kleinman on the Italian people’s efforts to save the Jews. They have gone back to Italy together and reconnected Walter with his Italian “family”. (Orthodox mincha and maariv minyanim on site; details to follow.) - Wednesday, May 1
