Sisterhood Announcements
The Sisterhood Dinner will take place this year on Sunday, Dec. 20. We are happy to announce that Shelly Portnoy is our Woman of the Year and will be honored at the dinner. Look out for invitations that will be coming out in the next few weeks.
To show our continued support for Israel, YIP Sisterhood is selling flags as a continuation of a project called #Flags4Israel which began 10/22 in Miami. Around the US and Canada 10,000 flags were distributed/sold for display as a show of unity with Israel.
YIP Sisterhood has 100 3'x5' flags which can be displayed from a pole, window, door or car, as shown in the photos below. All proceeds will go to Magen David Adom in Israel and the Lone Soldier Program.
Minimum donation $18.00; Checks payable to YIP Sisterhood.
Raise your flag and show your support for #Flags4Israel and #Plainview4Israel. Look for a Facebook event page--we encourage you to share photos of your flag on the page when we create it!!
Call or email Rachel Brandler or Diane Rabin to purchase a flag. Help us sell them all so that we can order more!!

Community Events and Notices
This week’s Tehillim group will meet at the home of Shelly Portnoy on Monday night @ 8:30 pm. Our group is looking for more women to take part in this important act of chesed--more important than ever during troubling times. Please join us!
For more than11 years, we have been gathering together to recite Tehillim (Psalms) on behalf of those who are ill or injured. Many of you in the community have given us names of relatives and friends, and those names are recited aloud each week. If you have submitted a name, please think of taking on a more active role on behalf of your family members and friends, and come whenever you can. To submit a name to the list or for further information please e-mail Ruth at rlorbert@verizon.net.
