2. Email order to nadiv7@yahoo.com providing items and quantities wanted and make sure you include your address and contact phone number. Delivery should be paid in cash or you can follow up and call (718 962-2365) to provide your credit card info.
MAKE SURE YOU TELL THEM THAT THIS ORDER IS FOR THURSDAY NIGHT DELIVERY IN PLAINVIEW. ORDERS MUST BE CALLED IN NO LATER THAN WEDNESDAY AT 7PM. Please note that there will be a $2 to $5 delivery charge depending on how many people call in orders since we need to cover the cost of the driver coming out to Plainview. Please tip the driver accordingly.

We are seeking 2 volunteers from the community (non board members) to serve on the YIP nominating committee. If you are interested in serving please contact Alan Fromm or David Gross by Friday Feb 8. All volunteers will be presented to the board for consideration and the board will vote on the membership of the committee at the board meeting on Feb 10. The committee consists of the immediate past president, 2 trustees and 2 members.
The nominating committee is an important part of our shul governance as it will form a recommended slate of officers and trustees to be presented to the community pursuant to section 10.02 of the YIP Constitution (please see below). Typically the commitment will be to meet 2-3 times in Feb and March to form the slate and to speak to perspective board members. Please note that if you want to be considered for a position on the board you can’t be a member of the nominating committee.
Excerpt from YIP Constitution
Section 10.02. There shall be a Nominating Committee for each election. The Nominating Committee shall be appointed by the Board of Trustees. The members of the Nominating Committee shall be members of the organization in good standing. No officer shall be on the Nominating Committee. There shall be five (5) members of the Nominating Committee.: consisting of the last immediate past President willing to serve, and at least two members of the Board of Trustees who are not officers. The Committee shall select its own chairperson. The Nominating Committee shall investigate the qualifications of the members for the various positions, obtain each one's consent to serve if elected, and present a slate to the membership as a “Committee Slate”. No member of the nominating committee shall be nominated by the nominating committee to fill an officer or trustee position.Get to know our Rabbinic Intern!
