Young Israel of Plainview will be participating in a Solidarity Shabbat for Pittsburgh this week. At this heartbreaking moment, there's nothing more powerful than coming together to send a message that we are louder and stronger than anti-Semitism.
 
Please note: Our revised security guidelines are in effect this Shabbat. Please enter through the main entrance at Oak Drive. The Southern Parkway entrance will be accessible only through the use of the code (if you want to use the code please retrieve it prior to Shabbat, using the instructions in the email you received on Tuesday). If you have questions on Shabbat regarding our procedures please approach the President or Rabbi.

HELPING THOSE IN NEED IN OUR COMMUNITY
The Mid-Island Y JCC Is proud to announce...Project Replenish. With support from the local Jewish community, we are helping to alleviate hunger insecurity among our neighbors. The Jewish Communal Fund Food Pantry at the Mid-Island Y JCC provides seniors, individuals and families with essential food, toiletry and household items. Donations will benefit the Mid-Island Y JCC’s Jewish Communal Fund Food Pantry & The Hatzilu Rescue Organization.  The donation bin is located In the Rabbi’s office. No glass or expired food, please.
